It's hard to think of mashed potatoes without dairy! I used to love mine with extra butter and super creamy. The important thing with making non-dairy mashed potatoes is developing the creamy rich taste without the cream! These are delicious. You can make them and eat them or you can bake the mashed potatoes and add a nutritional yeast topping. We do both in our family!

This little tart is so stinkin good. It's basically chocolate pecan pie, but the crust is only on the bottom like a tart or a cheesecake! No one can ever believe that it's full of nourishment, gluten free, dairy free, grain free, and sweetened with honey. I make this recipe year round and have replaced my Thanksgiving Pecan Pie recipe with this one. Serve with vanilla cashew ice cream. It's a dream! We like to roast or fry our turkeys for Thanksgiving! Our prep is the same no matter which way we cook the turkey. We love a caramelized maple turkey. Even with kosher turkeys, we brine our birds overnight. The meat is always moist and flavorful! If you plan to use a brine start the night before. HERE is a great brining recipe from Stupid Easy Paleo. Be sure to remove the neck and giblets before brining. I like to make homemade organic elderberry syrup with local raw honey, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves! I just made a huge batch (tripled this recipe) for family and friends. It's so much better than the store-bought because there's no sugar, it's sweetened with just raw honey, and it's all organic! I bottle it and keep it in the fridge for up to 2 months or it can also be frozen right away and used for up to a year! Besides the fact that the ingredients are so much higher quality than store bought, you can't beat the cost to make it yourself. I mean seriously, it's $10- $14 for 4 oz at the store! You and your family get all organic, fresh, delicious elderberry syrup for a fraction of the cost. In our family, adults take one tablespoon a day for maintenance and the kiddos take one teaspoon per day. You can multiply that by 4 if anybody's fighting anything! I give my leftover cooked elderberries to my chickens :-) These delicious little date balls are packed with nourishment, but also great for an energy boost and as paleo vegan dessert. My family loves these in the fall and we keep them in the fridge for several days as a healthy go-to treat. Try rolling them in cocoa, coconut, or cacao nibs!
