I love sweet potatoes all ways! This is a simple, but divine Thanksgiving sweet potato recipe. It is also amazing as leftovers. For additional crunch and flavor, add more pecans and maple syrup!

This little tart is so stinkin good. It's basically chocolate pecan pie, but the crust is only on the bottom like a tart or a cheesecake! No one can ever believe that it's full of nourishment, gluten free, dairy free, grain free, and sweetened with honey. I make this recipe year round and have replaced my Thanksgiving Pecan Pie recipe with this one. Serve with vanilla cashew ice cream. It's a dream! We like to roast or fry our turkeys for Thanksgiving! Our prep is the same no matter which way we cook the turkey. We love a caramelized maple turkey. Even with kosher turkeys, we brine our birds overnight. The meat is always moist and flavorful! If you plan to use a brine start the night before. HERE is a great brining recipe from Stupid Easy Paleo. Be sure to remove the neck and giblets before brining. These delicious little date balls are packed with nourishment, but also great for an energy boost and as paleo vegan dessert. My family loves these in the fall and we keep them in the fridge for several days as a healthy go-to treat. Try rolling them in cocoa, coconut, or cacao nibs! Whole30, Paleo, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Grain Free I’m doing my own deep personal work this season around forgiveness. I’ve experienced trauma and loss in the last year and I know that forgiveness is an essential piece of my growth and healing. I’m also consistently seeing resentment as a barrier to wellness with others and observing the incredible miracle of healing through forgiveness. In my work, I’ve been defining forgiveness as the intentional process of letting go of negative emotions regarding an offense or wrongdoing. For me it’s important to clarify that forgiveness is not condoning or forgetting, but a personal process of removing the energy of the negative emotions from your mind, body, and spirit. Forgiveness is a process that involves compassion, personal work, and growth. It includes forgiving others for wrongdoings and often, forgiving ourselves. |
